On 8 October, the 2014-2015 Comparative Literature Seminar in Utrecht will kick off with a session hosted by Prof. Ann Rigney. She will talk about the Scottish writer Walter Scott (1771 – 1832) and question the statement that he was one of the first writers that addressed audiences worldwide.
